HOW TO
ADD PICTURES TO YOUR NEW ALBUM
Once you
have created your
new Album ( learn
how to create an
album ) you will
want to add
pictures.
Unfortunately most
modern digital
pictures are too big
to upload and we
need to make them a
little smaller,
luckily I have a
very easy way to do
so. If your images
are already smaller
than 500K each then
you can skip this
page and jump to the
next step.
If your images are
greater than 500K
each and you do not
know how to make
them smaller please
follow these simple
instructions
We are going to use
the "paint"
application
available on most
Windows platforms to
shrink and rename
your images,
Personally I find it
easier to create a
new folder on your
computer called
"upload" and copy
the photographs you
want to publish to
that folder.
Now browse to that
new folder and
select your first
image, right mouse
click and select
"OPEN WITH" and then
"PAINT", OR you can
launch "PAINT"
manually from
"START" - "All
Programs"
-"Accessories" -
"PAINT" either way
you choose please
open your image in
paint.
Once your photograph
is open in paint you
will select "image"
from the top menu
and then select
Stretch/Skew option

Replace the
horizontal and
Vertical values with
70 and 70 ( this
will reduce the size
of your photograph
to 70 % of the
original size. On my
camera (5 megapixal)
this takes a 3
MEG picture down to
about 350 - 400 KB,
on bigger pictures
you may have to
decrease this number
to 60/60 or even
50/50, and on
smaller images you
may need only use
70/70 or 80/80.
Please experiment
with the numbers to
find what works for
you

Select "OK" and then
select "File" and
"Save" or Save As"
to rename the image
to something more
identifiable.
Please repeat the
process until all
your images are now
saved as images
under or around 500K
each
Now, lets add those
new images to the
album you created
earlier.
Please follow this
link
for instructions on
how to add your
images to you album.
